What’s your relationship to technology? Do you have one?
“Yes. I am like those guys that dressed up like chimpanzees in the opening sequence of A Space Odyssey. People who can type, they’re like Merlin. To me, tech ultimately is a distraction from experience. And, look, information is experience. You experience things when you get information. But I’ll tend to sub-intentionally misplace my phone or my iPad or whatever multiple times a week. In the mid-’80s, I was one of the first guys carrying around that big battery with the car phone, because I was like, “Bro!” But it was all about, you know, effect.”
